Poetry
This year in 6th grade Language Arts class we learned a lot about the different kinds of poetry. The different kinds are Acrostic, Cinquain, Limerick, Triangle Triplet, Free Verse, Haiku, and Diamante. I think that poetry is very fun to write. For every different kind of poetry, we had some classmates say their poem on the announcements after we voted. I was a winner to say my Diamante poem in front of the whole school! I was very nervous to say my poem on the announcements.

Limerick
There once was a man in a car.
The car went real far.
The man was so fat,
He looked like a cat.
The man in the car drank out of a jar.
The car went real far.
The man was so fat,
He looked like a cat.
The man in the car drank out of a jar.
Triangle Triplet
Once there was a dog,
He walked on a log,
And got lost in the fog
He walked on a log,
And got lost in the fog

Incredible, wet, drop
Happy, peaceful, lonely, cozy
Dripping.

Happy, peaceful, lonely, cozy
Dripping.

Heroes Are
Sometimes astonishing.
Sometimes fearless.
Sometimes amazing.
Sometimes heroes act through courage
And at other times through fear.
Sometimes astonishing.
Sometimes fearless.
Sometimes amazing.
Sometimes heroes act through courage
And at other times through fear.
